1 Scope Of Service & Eligibility

LINEGUARD provides a retractable webbing system designed to deter birds from vessels. We currently sell and ship products exclusively to customers located within the United States and Canada.

2 Purchase And Payment

All purchases are one-time payments. By providing a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use that method and authorize us to charge the total purchase amount, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees.

3 Shipping And Risk Of Loss

All items purchased from LINEGUARD are made pursuant to a shipment contract. The risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery of the goods to the carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx). LINEGUARD is not responsible for "porch piracy" or items lost after confirmed delivery by the carrier.

4 30-Day Risk-Free Trial & Returns

We want you to be satisfied with the effectiveness of our system on your boat.

• Trial Period: You may return the product for any reason within 30 days of the delivery date.
• Condition: Returns must include all original components (webbing system and hardware) and must not show signs of excessive wear-and-tear.
• Shipping Fees: LINEGUARD provides a prepaid return label, the cost of which will be deducted from your final refund.
• Process: Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection.

5 1-Year Limited Warranty

LINEGUARD guarantees its products to be free of material and workmanship defects for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

• Coverage: This covers the structural integrity of the webbing and the deployment mechanism under normal maritime conditions.
• Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage caused by extreme weather events (e.g., hurricanes), improper installation, or intentional misuse.
• Voiding Warranty: Any attempt to disassemble, modify, or take apart the plastic housing or internal mechanism will immediately void this warranty.
• Remedy: We reserve the right to replace a defective product with a standard replacement unit.

6 Use Of Product & Performance Disclaimer

• Deterrent Nature: LINEGUARD is a deterrent system. While highly effective, we do not guarantee a 100% bird-free environment.
• Installation: Users are responsible for secure installation. LINEGUARD is not responsible for units that are lost, submerged, or damaged due to falling into the water or improper attachment.

7 Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LINEGUARD’s total liability for any claim, whether in contract, warranty, or tort, is strictly limited to the purchase price of the product. LINEGUARD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to damage to boats, docks, or other property.

8 Intellectual Property & User Content

• Proprietary Rights: The LINEGUARD system and its unique deployment clip are protected by patents. All designs, logos, and content are the exclusive property of LINEGUARD.
• User-Generated Content: If you upload or share photos or videos of LINEGUARD (e.g., via social media or email), you grant LINEGUARD a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that content for marketing and promotional purposes.

9 Damaged Or Defective Items

Please inspect your order upon reception. If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact support@lineguardproducts.com immediately. In these cases, LINEGUARD will cover return shipping or provide a replacement at no cost, provided photographic evidence is supplied.

10 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our products shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Boston, MA.
